With a digital video recorder (DVR), you're in control. A DVR is an interactive TV recording device the helps you manage your TV viewing. A DVR records and plays back television programs in high quality digital format. Because it stores the programs you record on a hard drive you are able to pause rewind, stop or fast-forward a recorded program just like you would with a VCR. Like a VCR, a DVR records and plays back television programs, but unlike the VCR, it stores the programs in digital (rather than analog) form. DVR service requires an HD converter box. If you already have an HD converter box, the monthly charge is $10 per month. The charge will be $5 per month if you combine the DVR with our Digital Basic Cable service. You may also combine the DVR with a Premium service, such as HBO, Cimemax, Showtime or Starz and it will be a $5 charge per month as well. If you do not have a HD converter box, the charge is $20 a month ($10 for the HD converter and $10 for the DVR service).
